Bradley Bofford is a Managing Director and Partner of Financial Principles, LLC, a Hightower wealth management practice. With his deep industry knowledge and experience, Brad has been helping clients make informed financial decisions for 28 years.
Brad specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning and asset management. He focuses on addressing complex financial challenges and helping successful business owners, executives and affluent families in the Greater New York City metropolitan area focus on their financial independence. Brad co-founded Financial Principles, LLC in 1998 with Michael Flower. The Fairfield-based financial services practice partnered to be a Hightower wealth management practice in 2018.
For 26 years, Brad has been recognized as a Qualifying Life Member by the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, a global, independent association of more than 72,000 of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 70 countries. To date, Brad has achieved 20 “Court of the Table” and 14 “Top of the Table” qualifications. Brad is also a six-time recipient of NJ Monthly’s Five Star Wealth Manager Award (2012-2018).* He has served as a resource for various industry publications, including Dow Jones, BusinessWeek, Investment News, Financial Planning Magazine, Research Magazine, and New Jersey Business News. He has also been a featured speaker on “Your Financial Health Show” on WVNJ 1160 AM.
Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Delaware. He is currently a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations. Brad holds the Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as Life & Health insurance licenses. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Brad is very active in several community and charitable organizations. Currently, he serves on the Executive Board for the University of Delaware Alumni Association. Previously serving on various committees of the UDAA and was President of the Northern New Jersey Alumni Club from 1995 thru 2013. He is also an active board member and volunteer for the Bergen County Horse Rescue (BCHR) in Mahwah, New Jersey. Additionally, Brad participates in various other charities, such as Bike MS, Bike NY, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the MDRT Foundation. In 2021, Brad assisted in obtaining a grant for the BCHR from the MDRT Foundation. Brad and his family reside in Bergen County, New Jersey. Outside of work, he thoroughly enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, as well as cycling, traveling and spending time with his two daughters and their Goldendoodle, Buddy.
