Daniel Trout is a Partner of Financial Principles, LLC, a Hightower wealth management practice. A former client of the practice, Dan joined our team in 2003 and has 21 years of financial planning experience. He currently holds the Series 6, 7 and 65 licenses, as well as Life & Health insurance licenses.
Dan strives to build strong, long-term client relationships and assist clients at each phase of their financial lives. He implements a personalized financial planning model, develops an appropriate strategy, and employs products and services individualized to each client’s situation.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Delaware. Before he began his career in financial services, he held various positions with Hallmark Cards, Sterling International and Sapient Corporation.
Outside of work, Dan can be found refereeing on a soccer field, serving as the crossing guard at his church, or volunteering with youth sports in town. Dan was the founding President and is currently Director of Training & Referees for the West Milford Youth Soccer Organization. He created and runs “Challenger Soccer” for 25 special needs children in coordination with the West Milford High School soccer teams. He is currently appointed to the West Milford Township Community Service & Recreational Advisory Board and West Milford High School Pride Committee. While he is proud to be a trusted advisor and active in the community, he believes his most rewarding roles in life are as a husband to his wife, Linda, and as a father to their children, Miranda, Madison and Logan.
