Steve Gelber is an Associate Wealth Advisor at Financial Principles, LLC, a Hightower wealth management team. With 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, he brings a deep background in financial planning and investment management to the team.
Steve specializes in working with clients and their families to develop personalized, comprehensive financial plans that address their investment, insurance, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning needs. He has a passion for working with “next generation” clients to provide financial education and ensure that young professionals are on the right path towards their future financial independence.
Steve’s background and attention to detail help him to assist high net worth families, small business owners, and fiduciaries of Trusts and non-profits, who have unique and complex needs. Steve finds fulfillment in tackling complex matters for clients and has an innate ability to think outside of the box in finding simplified solutions to fit even the most complicated situations for clients.
It is Steve’s goal as a trusted advisor to provide an enjoyable client experience, simplify matters for his clients, and provide any education needed to ensure that each and every client understands their financial plan and the strategies used in pursuit of their journey to financial independence.
Steve graduated, with honors, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance from Boston University. He earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies, and currently holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses.
Steve is an active member of several charitable organizations. Through his involvement with the Hackensack Rotary and Hackensack Elks, he supports efforts to organize annual food drives, toy drives, care package mailings for deployed servicemen and women, and several outings for children living in local residential care facilities. He also is actively involved with organizing children’s literacy programs with Hackensack’s Johnson Public Library for the youth of the community.
Steve resides in Hackensack, NJ with his fiancé Tara and their rescue dogs, Buster and Charlie (Charlotte). In his spare time, he enjoys cooking (odds are there may be something in his smoker at this very moment), reading, and woodworking.
